Superintendent Responds to PGCEA
Throughout the course of this school year, PGCEA members have expressed concerns about what they viewed as increasing workload demands. From dozens of new initiatives to the new Student Information System, time to teach has continued to erode.
No one is more proud of the district’s recent academic gains than our members who are the reason that this district is making larger gains in achievement than almost any other district, and Maryland has been recognized as the Number One School System in the Nation.
PGCEA invited Dr. Hite to come before our building representatives and hear firsthand what our leaders and staff have been hearing. Dr. Hite participated in an hour-long discussion with our representatives and committed to responding back to what he heard. The following is his letter to the PGCEA Executive Director.
