  Negotiators Reach Tentative Agreement

Attention Reps!

Prince George’s County Educators’ Association (PGCEA) and the negotiators for the Prince George’s County Board of Education (Board) have reached a tentative agreement. In order to ratify this agreement your presence is required at a special rep council meeting 26 August 2002, which will begin promptly at 4:30 PM.

While the process has been slow, an important agreement that has been reached is the funding and implementation of steps or increments on schedule. Employees who are scheduled to roll up on step should have done so on the August 29 pay period.

Negotiators from PGCEA and the Board of Education met on Monday, September 8, to continue what has been a drawn out process.

The teams brought closure to a number of items and if the same kind of progress can be made in the next session, a contract may not be far behind

A special Rep council Meeting will be held at PGCEA on Monday, 22 Dec 2003 to brief the Building Representatives on the Contract proposal approved by the PGCEA Board Of Directors. Learn More
