The additional 1% lump sum payment negotiated by PGCEA in the last contact negotiation is scheduled to be paid on Friday, January 25, 2008. The payment represents one percent of each employee’s base pay. It will be added to the regular bi-weekly as a separate payroll element. Taxes will be withheld at the employee’s current withholding instructions or the same as regular wages.

No voluntary deductions or pension contributions will be taken from the amount, just mandatory adjustments such as social security and medicare.

The gross amount of the 1% will be identified with a pay element on the stub that will read “One Time Pay”.
