PGCPS SELECTED AS GRANT RECIPIENT FOR BREAKFAST IN THE CLASSROOM INITIATIVE

PGCPS awarded grant PGCPS was recently awarded a grant to participate in the Breakfast in the Classroom program which provides breakfast to students in their classrooms as a means to get more students to participate in the School Breakfast Program. PGCEA was instrumental in helping bring this program to the district as we have been working with the foundation partners from the start.

According to the Partners for Breakfast in the Classroom, as more schools move to the Breakfast in the Classroom approach, federal School Breakfast Program participation will increase, thereby reducing hunger and improving educational achievement nationwide.
