Teacher Evaluation and Rating
4.08 Teacher Evaluation and Rating

The following is taken from provision 4.08(b):

“All evaluations which are less than satisfactory must be given to the teacher on or before June 1st, and all other evaluations must be given to the teacher before the last duty day for teachers.”

What does this mean? If an administrator is going to issue an unsatisfactory evaluation, this must be done on or before June 1, of that year. An unsatisfactory evaluation issued after that date would be in violation of the contract. In addition, all other evaluations, which by contract must be satisfactory, must be given to teachers before the last duty day, or June. If you receive an unsatisfactory evaluation after the June 1 deadline, please contact PGCEA immediately.
