Know Your Contract – Start of the Year Set-up

As the school year begins remember that the contract provides time for individuals to work on their own in their classrooms.

Article 4.04 A 2 states:

Of the above number of days one workday preceding the first student day and one workday at the end of the school year shall be scheduled by the principal exclusively for teachers’ to work in their classrooms.

Plainly stated, you must receive one full workday during the period of August 15-18 to work in your room on your own. This could be one day or split into two half days.
