| Since 1875, the Prince George's County Educators' Association (PGCEA) has been standing strong to provide quality education, service and resources to the students of Prince George's County.
The teachers, specialists, guidance counselors, speech and occupational therapists, pupil personnel workers and psychologists who make up our membership have all worked diligently over the years to provide our students access to the best tools for a healthy start in life.
We fight for improved salaries and pensions so that we can effectively compete in attracting and retaining the best teachers and the most skilled service providers. | | We advocate safety programs that not only protect students and increase security systems, but also focus on providing students tools that teach conflict resolution in schools.
We have worked successfully on the state, county, and local board levels to ensure that Prince George's County Schools receive the funding, resources and support needed to produce strong leaders for tomorrow.
We have built partnerships among teachers, parents, and administrators and the community-at-large, which continue to be our most productive efforts.
As we move into the next century, we renew our commitment to the teachers and children of this community... and to our future. |
